Bynder Customer Story: Golfbreaks

Discover how Golfbreaks uses Bynder to serve up highly curated content experiences to thousands of golfers worldwide, all while making huge time and resource savings.

Jon
Golfbreaks was formed in 1998. So we've been operating for over 25 years now. We send golfers on trips all across the UK, Europe, worldwide, as well as those bucket list experiences to the likes of the Open, the Ryder Cup and the Masters. Our whole ethos is about saving golfers time and money from planning their trips. Our service sets us apart from the competition and we really pride ourselves on those relationships that we build of our customers over time. And it’s that real understanding to what the customer wants, what they need, allows us to develop those bespoke packages. And we do that really, really well when we're speaking to customers on the phone. But what we're looking to do now is replicate that in the digital journey. So on the website, email, booking portal and apps.

Paul
Golfbreaks have thousands of digital assets that we have to manage. We had no centralized storage for these files. They were stored all over the company from shared folders, third party platforms, and even worse on people's local drives. We'd end up using the same image in every campaign because all the alternatives were out of sight, out of mind.We also had a huge lack of information on each image. Who was the photographer? Did we have permission to use the image? Now we can have a single source of truth containing guidelines and all our branding assets.

Jon
Bynder fits in very nicely with the rest of our tech stack. The metadata that we can now capture on all of those digital assets means that we can really personalize the content to our customers. Now we can serve them the content, from Bynder, which reflects who they are as a customer, what they're looking for and where they are in the purchase lifecycle.

Paul
We can also serve images direct to the web using DAT and images that are served at a right size for use on the web.

Jon
And from a marketing perspective, we can be a bit more reactive in the field now.

Paul
For instance, we can have a photographer on location and they can use the Bynder app to instantly upload photography. And that photography then can be used by our email or social media team within an hour. Bynder allows us to serve the right image at the right time to the right customer.

Jon
But it's not just those customer facing channels where we use Bynder. We also use internally. Our HR team, they build collections within Bynder to host company information and employee information that they can share across the territories.

Paul
The marketing team can easily find assets. They can create assets from templates. They can self-serve images at the right size without getting the design team involved. Assets are easily localized via Studio. It removes the need for Photoshop. Historical marketing assets now have a home. We have easy optimization for social channels. We can track image uses. We can manage rights.

Paul
We can approve design assets. And we have a much more variation in imagery. So we estimate we’re 90% quicker to produce content. So that's a big figure, but we easily stand by that. In addition, we think we have a one day saving of design resource per week.

Jon
The Bynder marketplace and the integrations available were really important to us. We now make that a key requirement of any vendor, that they have a Bynder integration and we are using it at the moment with our Contentstack Headless CMS and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We're big advocates of composable architecture at Golfbreaks. We love the flexibility it brings to be able to select the best in breed vendors and the scalability it brings to the business.

Paul
I've really enjoyed the Bynder experience from the onset They’ve been really invested in helping us achieve our goals.

Jon
The onboarding process was the best we've ever experienced, and even now the support that we're getting from Bynder is second to none. We can really see that they are the leaders in their space and innovators in the DAM market.
